Terms & Conditions

The commencement of any services offered by MyVetNurse means that these terms have been read, understood and agreed by the pet owner.

 

1.)  For some of our services, we may issue intake paperwork and/or a consent form that will require a signature by both parties. 

2.) The pet owner is responsible for the actions of their pet(s) at all times.

3.) On booking in for pet sitting, a ‘meet and greet’ can be arranged if necessary. You will be asked to supply details outlining the pet’s normal routine and requirements. Contact details are also required, and MyVetNurse should be informed of your arrival home to ensure the pet(s) are not alone and that no further care is necessary. 

4.) If your pet becomes unwell whilst you are away from home, we will do our upmost to contact you on the phone number(s) provided. If we are unable to reach you, we will act under the oath of our professional conduct and proceed accordingly. By signing our consent form you are agreeing for us to use our discretion and professional judgement to take your animal to the vets if deemed necessary. Owners will be responsible for costs incurred for veterinary visits/treatment on their return. A charge of £15/hr will be payable for each visit to the vet to cover the time spent. 

5.) Details of your own veterinary practice will be required and you should inform them that you are away should your pet require any veterinary attention. If your pet is on any prescribed medication please notify your veterinary surgeon so that MyVetNurse can be authorised to act on your behalf.

6.) In the event of adverse weather conditions, twice daily visits may need to be reduced to a single visit. We would endeavour to contact you if such a situation arose.

7.) MyVetNurse will not tolerate abusive behaviour, actions or language and reserve the right to terminate any services without refund of any payment(s) made up to the point of termination.

8.) Payment is required at the time of service (cash / card payment / PayPal).

9.) MyVetNurse cannot diagnose or treat your animal for illness or injury as these are services that require a veterinary surgeon.

10.) MyVetNurse are fully insured with PetPlan Sanctuary.
